Scott Chambers, Ph.D.

At Headwater Investments, Scott primarily oversees portfolio strategy, client service, compliance and client development.

Scott earned a Ph.D. from UC Davis in 1988 and has been a Professor of Finance at Linfield College since 1990, where he pursues an active and specialized research program in issues confronting endowments and foundations. At Linfield, he teaches investments, money and banking and a special course which studies financial institution on-site in New York City.

Previously, Scott served as Linfield College's Vice-President for Finance and Administration and continues to assist in the oversight of the College’s endowment. He spent the 1997-98 academic year in England at the Nottingham Business School as a Visiting Fellow of Finance. Scott has been an active member of the McMinnville Rotary Club since 1994 and a Board of Director for First Federal Savings and Loan of McMinnville since 2000. Currently, Scott chairs the institution’s finance committee. Scott speaks frequently to local and national groups about investments and economics. His research has been published in a variety of journals.
